Muziboo’s own URL shortener

April 23rd, 2010 § 5

We are pleased to announce that we have muz.io for shortening muziboo urls on Twitter. You will no longer see tinyurl or bitly in your Twitter song links. This definitely would create more recall for your song or profile on Muziboo.

If you have not already connected your Muziboo profile to Twitter, you can do it now !

Here’s the muz.io stream from twitter

Artist Wide Search

April 21st, 2010 § 1

We have received quite a few requests recently for the implementation of an artist wide search. We have it now!

If an artist has more than 10 songs, listeners would find a Search option below the albums in the artist’s music page. This will reduce the number of clicks required to access a song.

This is what it looks like…

A Malayalam Lullaby sung by a Hungarian with Romanian lyrics!

April 11th, 2010 § 2

Here’s the song by Ibolya Orbán

Raree-Raarirum Raro-with-Romanian-lyrics | Upload Music

In the words of Ibolya herself:

“Sometimes we have great surprises:I liked the song Raree-Raarirum a lot and asked Shushanth for the track. As I will be granny soon I tought to write romanian lyrics…went to internet for some inspiration…and fond a wonderful poem by Stefan Octavian Iosif-a lullaby poem. Was not easy to work with it…but I‘ve managed.Well…there is room for better(as I still haven’t soundcard…)But I hope you will enjoy this rare attempt.”

It indeed is a great surprise Ibolya! Click here for the Malayalam version of the song.

The highlight of this upload is the comment by Rajeev Onv, the son of the Malayalam lyricist himself:)

“Ibolya, what a surprise here! You are extremely resourceful to create this Roman version of the old malayalam song of 1982. My father had penned the lyrics for this song and composer Mohan Sithara and singer Venugopal made their debut in films through this song. I shall mail this song to them-would love to watch their surprised expressions.”

We indeed would be curious to know about their reactions to this version:)

The 4th Bangalore Muziboo meet(BMM 4)

April 7th, 2010 § 5

We had an absolutely great time participating in the Muziboo meet organized by Priya and Venkat on the 28th of last month. The reason behind the meet is Sudeip who inspite of his tight vacation schedule made a weekend trip to Bangalore just to jam with his fellow Muziboo friends. Thank you guys!
Well, one testimony to the meet being absolutely fun and entertaining is Sudeip cancelling his evening flight and booking an early morning one just to be part of the evening which was extending long past the time we had decided for closure!

Bangalore Muziboo Meet - 4

The best part of the meet was everything being impromptu and natural. None of the guys who were jamming had seen each other before or performed together in the past. But the chemistry was awesome! Here’s a video of the group performing ‘Pehla Nasha’. We have Sudeip and Daniel on guitars, Nitin on the keyboard, Venkat on the tabla and Unni on vocals. You can click here for more videos from the evening.

The meet started at 3 pm and went on till 11pm :) Thanks to Harry, Unni, Ajeesh, SudeipVenkat, Kumaran, Priya, Shashi, ArunNitin and Sushanth for your performances. It was great listening to to you all perform live! Already looking forward to the next meet :)

What has been your ambition in your life?
As a kid I always dreamt ofcomputers and believed they were the answer to all questions in life! The day I got one for myself, my ambition has been to contribute someting big in the computer world. I am still paving my way to the Zenith.
In what way do you think Muziboo helps you reach your goals
Well Muziboo is a place where there is no limits to applying my ideas. Not just in Technology but also in Marketing, Community and more. The best thing here is seeing an idea take shape, go live within days and finding hundreds and thousands of users using it within days of deployment. The working atmosphere, the agile nature of work and the scope for growth here give me the confidence that I will reach my goals.
