In the 2.5 years of Muziboo’s existence, if there is one feature that our ardent users have been eagerly waiting for, it is that of collaboration. There have been various questions and multiple requests regarding this feature. And they go typically like this
“Is there a way I can list the member who did the mixing for my songs?”
“I am the vocalist and the composer has uploaded our work. Is there a way I can follow comments on the song?”
“Collaboration is a killer feature. Muziboo’s got to have it!”
“There has to be a feature around collaboration. So many of us collaborate”
Thanks for all those enthusiastic requests. We have it at-last!
So now you can
List your collaborator
Right above the player, you will see the ‘Add collaborator’ option. Click on it and you will see a window prompting you to add the name of your collaborator from your friends list.

When you start typing, you will see recommended suggestions as a drop-down list. Pick the right suggestion, fill the role field and hit the ‘Add Collaborator’ button. A mail is sent to the collaborator asking for his permission to be listed and once he/she accepts, the listing will be done. Please note that you can add any number of collaborators for your songs.Your song page should look like this

Receive Email notifications
The best part of the feature is that all those listed as collaborators for a song will receive notifications for Comments, Favorites and Likes.
We will soon release the second-cut of this version which will list all collaborations as an album in your profile. And if you have any trouble using this feature, please let us know through a comment on this post.

We have a catchy Replay button showing up in the player now when a song finishes instead of the regular play button. Catchy enough to make your listeners play your song again
Here’s a screen shot!

For a question posted sometime back on which guitar should be bought about which I had also tweeted, there was a reply by one of our users by name Magdalena which caught my immediate attention.
Here is what she has to say
I’ve never bought a guitar by name……the guitar buys me. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there are good and bad things about each type. The only way to know which guitar to buy is to physically put it in your hands and try it out.
Does it fit your body well……your hands?
Does the sound connect with you?
Does it fit your finger span?
Do you love the way it looks and feels?
Does it fit your budget?
Do you want it even if it doesn’t fit your budget?
That’s the dead giveaway for me. If I want it, no matter what the price, that’s the one I will get. And if I can’t afford it right now, I will work to get it.
So that’s my humble opinion about which guitar to buy. It buys you.
Hugs
Maggie
Doesn’t this make lot of sense?

In Muziboo, commenting has always been easy. A listener can listen to a song, write his comment and then sing-up or login right there without navigating away from the page just before posting the comment. Now it is made even simpler and easier because the listener can sing-up/login right there with just his twitter/Facebook credentials.
Now, what does this mean for you? More of your friends will start commenting on your uploads when you share your Muziboo uploads on Facebook and twitter because of the obvious ease. This applies for downloading and favoriting too.
And the good news is, the feature was rolled out 3 days back and bingo! there is already a 50% increase in the daily comment count
